Q: How do I sign up to be a GoShare driver?

Q: How much do GoShare drivers make?
A: GoShare drivers earn between $47.52 – $71.52 per hour depending on the type of vehicle they own. GoShare drivers can also earn tips from customers for a job well done. Tips can be paid in cash or in the app. Apply now.

Q: Why does it say that my account is blocked by admin?
A: After you apply to become a driver we will review your application and email you with the next steps. Your account will remain blocked until you complete the entire on-boarding process.

Q: What are the steps to become a GoShare driver?
A: First, apply online. Second, watch orientation and pass test online. Third, complete vehicle inspection. Fourth, pass background check. Fifth, document verification.

Q: Will I receive a 1099 or W2 for tax purposes?

Q: How can I get more deliveries?
A: Learn more about our driver marketing program here. You can earn more deliveries by sharing your GoShare promo code. You can also order GoShare business cards and truck magnets customized with your name and promo code by clicking here.

Q: My vehicle was made before year 2003, can I still drive for GoShare?
A: Our insurance requires that all vehicles are year 2003 or newer.

Q: When do I get paid?
A: It usually takes 3-5 days after you complete a project before the money is transferred into your account. If you are missing a payment click here.

Q: How do I get paid?
A: All payments will be sent through direct deposit or through our bank’s online payment system. Our bank is Chase and they use an online payroll system called Zelle. We will deposit one penny into your bank account to verify your account.

Q: I saw a project request come in and then it disappeared. What happened to it?
A: This means that another driver has accepted the project request. When a new request comes in it is sent to the entire team of drivers. The first person to accept the request will get the project.

Q: Can a customer ride in my vehicle?
A: No

Q: What if I cannot safely transport a customer’s items?
A: Inclement weather, extremely heavy cargo, and unsafe loading environments can sometimes occur. We encourage you to communicate that with the customer and try to get them to reschedule. Most customers will understand that it is in everyone’s best interest to keep all people and items safe and will work with you and GoShare customer service to reschedule for another time.

Q: When entering my vehicle info why can’t I find my vehicle model?
A: This may be an issue with your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer). Try opening this link in a new browser or in a different window in the same browser. You can also try clearing your Cache in browser. If your problem persists or you see a list of vehicles but don’t see your truck or van listed you can contact us. We are only looking for pickup trucks, cargo vans, and box trucks.

Q: Why can’t I see the pickup time of a project in my app?
A: The GoShare Driver App is compatible with 12 hour clock only. If you are using a 24 hour clock please edit your settings and change to a 12 hour clock.

Q: How much work can I expect from GoShare?
A: GoShare delivery professionals are independent contractors and are able to work when they want. The number of projects that you can get from GoShare will vary based on your location, vehicle type, and availability. It should be considered a part time opportunity for now.

Q: Are there any costs involved with joining GoShare?
A: Before you can join GoShare you must pass a background check. Delivery Professionals are responsible for the costs of the background check which is $45 ($65 if in N.Y.). This fee is non refundable.

Q: I am a GoShare Driver/Helper. Can I be removed from the platform?
A: Yes, you can be removed from the platform for violating our terms of service. Violations include but are not limited to: stealing, manipulating the price, multiple one star reviews from customers, multiple job cancellations without good cause, regularly being late to projects, providing false information, recklessly damaging a customers item, knowingly transporting illegal or prohibited items. Q: Do I need special insurance
A: You must carry valid auto liability and health insurance in accordance with your state and federal laws. GoShare provides supplemental insurance in case of an accident.

Q: I lost or damaged a customer’s item during delivery, am I responsible for the damage?
A: Yes. If a claim is filed against you with GoShare’s insurance provider or GoShare is otherwise required to pay for damages caused by you, in GoShare’s sole discretion, GoShare may charge you any or all of the deductible or other out-of-pocket expenses GoShare is required to pay as a result of that claim. The current deductible is $1,000.00.

Q: I have been convicted of a felony or DUI in the past 7 years. Can I work with GoShare?
A: No

Q: How can I change my password?

Q: How long does it take to complete the background check?
A: It typically takes 1-3 days to complete the background check once you have submitted your information to our background check partner.

Q: Do customers rate each driver individually on a two person project?
A: Yes, each driver is rated and tipped individually.

Q: Why do some email alerts have project details and some do not?
A: Sometimes we have to send requests manually if the customer made a change to the date/time/vehicle type. When we send manual emails they will include more details about the project. You can reply to the email to accept these projects. Automated emails that are generated when a new order comes in do not include details. You will need to log into the app to accept these requests.

Q: If I have a large pickup truck can I also get requests for small pickup trucks?
A: Yes, you can now receive requests for your vehicle type and smaller vehicles. You can adjust your vehicle subscription settings by logging into your GoShare account on our website. Then click Settings button then Vehicle Subscription. Similarly, if you have a box truck you can also receive requests for cargo vans. However, if you have a small truck you will not be able to receive requests for large trucks.

Q: Can I use a vehicle with a salvage title?
A: No

Q: What happens if I need to cancel?
A:If a delivery professional accepts a project and cancels or does not complete the Project as scheduled, GoShare may at its discretion impose penalties that include:  (a) temporary suspension of your GoShare account; (b) monetary fines not to exceed $50; (c) permanent deactivation of your GoShare account. The first cancellation will be free. After that each cancellation you will be charged a $10 fine. If you don’t show up to a scheduled delivery you will be charged a $50 fine.
