GoShare Delivery Professionals earn between $47.52 – $71.52 per hour depending on the type of vehicle you own. GoShare Delivery Pros can also earn tips from customers for a job well done. Tips can be paid in cash or in the app.
GoShare Delivery Professionals are divided into Drivers and Helpers. Drivers are truck and van owners. Helpers own a car or SUV and assist the drivers with loading and unloading heavy items, but rarely carry cargo. They are paid $47.52 an hour. Learn more about being a helper here.
The first step is to apply online. The online application form only takes a few minutes. Your application will be screened for basic compatibility. Within 30 minutes, you will receive a response from our team. If your application has been approved, you will be invited to watch a short orientation video. The video is followed by a simple quiz to ensure that you watched and understood the video. At this point, our team will review your score, as well as vehicle registration and insurance documents provided with your original application. Once your documents are verified, you will receive instructions on how to complete vehicle inspection. Once your vehicle is approved, the final step is a background check. Once passed, we will request your bank information to set up direct deposit payments. Then you will be activated on the GoShare platform. Many Delivery Pros get through the process in about one week. However, the speed at which you get through orientation will depend on how quickly you provide documents and if those documents are correct.

Currently, we do not have an option for trailers-only on our platform. You may apply as a helper to assist with loading and unloading but will not receive cargo carrying requests.

After you apply to become a GoShare Delivery Professional we will review your application and email you with the next steps. Your account will remain blocked and your status inactive until you complete the entire onboarding process.
Unfortunately, we can not. All vehicles must have a model year from within the last 15 years when they join the platform. This is an insurance requirement and we are unable to make exceptions. For applications sent in 2019, vehicles must be a model 2004 or newer. In 2020, applicants must have a vehicle that is a 2005 or newer.

GoShare delivery professionals are independent contractors and are able to work when they want. The number of projects you do with GoShare will vary based on your location, vehicle type, and availability. While a few delivery professionals do use GoShare full time, we recommend treating it as a part-time opportunity.
No, professionals bill the customer for the time between the start of the project and the end of the project. You are not able to bill the customer for the time it takes you to arrive at the project location or to return to your home.
Before you can join GoShare you must pass a background check. Delivery Professionals share the costs of the background check which is $45 or $65 if you have ever lived in New York state. This fee is non-refundable. Results of the background check typically take less than 3-business days. However, if you have moved frequently it may take a few extra days to obtain all your records for review. Applicants who live or have lived in California and Massachusetts may also experience longer than average turn arounds as the courts in these states generally take longer to respond to records requests.
If you have a vehicle that has a model year which is current to or newer than the current calendar year, you will go through a simplified inspection process. Instead of completing a full inspection, you will simply be asked to provide images of the front, back and sides of the vehicle.
In 2019, a vehicle considered “new” for the purpose of a simplified vehicle inspection is a model year 2019 or 2020.
Yes! You must always have valid automotive, liability and health insurance in accordance with state and federal laws. Check your local state regulations for more information about what is required to transport goods in your state. GoShare’s supplemental insurance covers the cargo being carried for customers. In the event that you cause damage to the customers’ item or property, you are responsible for the deductible. At GoShare’s sole discretion, GoShare may charge you any or all of the deductible or other out-of-pocket expenses GoShare is required to pay as a result of that claim. The current deductible is $1,000.00.

All delivery professionals must have a working iPhone or Android phone in order to use the app and accept projects. Drivers should carry ratcheting straps and moving blankets in order to safely secure cargo. We also recommend but do not require, hand trucks, dollies, and a small tool kit. Some projects may include requests for these extra pieces of equipment. You can only accept these projects if you have the equipment on-hand. When additional equipment is requested for a project, such as a tool kit for assembly, the driver will earn an additional fee for bringing and using the item.
Drivers should minimize all driving distractions when taking projects with GoShare. Drivers are not to be accompanied by any other persons, other than platform employees or a vetted contractor through the platform, while operating the vehicle. All drivers must utilize a hands-free device or Bluetooth technology when using a mobile phone while driving or pull off the road to a safe area if they do not have a hands-free device or Bluetooth technology. Drivers are not permitted to use headphones while driving.
All payments will be sent through direct deposit or through our bank’s online payment system. Our bank is Chase and they use an online payroll system called Zelle. We will deposit one penny into your bank account to verify your bank account before your account is activated. It usually takes 3-5 days after you complete a project before the money is transferred into your account. If you are missing a payment click here.

If you earned more than $600 in a taxable year from GoShare projects, you will receive a 1099.
No, customers should never ride in your vehicle. GoShare Delivery Pros should only transport cargo, not passengers.
This means that another Delivery Professional has accepted the project request. The first Delivery Professional to accept the request will get the project.

Inclement weather, extremely heavy cargo, and unsafe loading environments can sometimes occur. We encourage you to reach out immediately to our customer service team using the chat feature in the Driver App. Most customers will understand that it is in everyone’s best interest to keep all people and items safe and will work with you and GoShare customer service to find a solution.
If a delivery professional accepts a project and cancels or does not complete the Project as scheduled, GoShare may at its discretion impose penalties that include: (a) temporary suspension of your GoShare account; (b) monetary fines not to exceed $50; (c) permanent deactivation of your GoShare account. The first cancellation will be free. After that each cancellation you will be charged a $10 fine. If you don’t show up to a scheduled delivery you will be charged a $50 fine. Sometimes we have to send requests manually if the customer made a change to the date/time/vehicle type. When we send manual emails they will include more details about the project. You can reply to the email to accept these projects. Automated emails that are generated when a new order comes in do not include details. You will need to log into the app to see and accept these requests.
